Brent Roberts wins first WPT title

Organizers only expected $800k for the prize pool of the World Poker Tour DeepStacks Big Stax XV $1,500 Main Event, however due to the almost 600 players who took part, the figure finally reached a million dollars! Many well-known American aces were attracted to the event, like Brent Roberts, who almost clinched the WPT title ring last year, coming in third and taking home $251,000 - the biggest win of his career. This year, he wasn't satisfied with only th final table, as he fought his way to the heads-up, where he faced off against a lesser known player, Mike Hollenberg, with a massive chip advantage. Roberts had no intention of letting go at this point, and after a relatively short end game, he elminated his opponent and grabbed the well-reserved title, along with $205,000 in prize money.
