Kelly Minkin burst onto the professional secen in 2013 with spectacular results, and while the win eluded her at debut during the heads-up of the Arizona State Poker Championship, she had a nice seed of $151,000 from her second place finish to kick-start her career. A career that has been on an upward spiral since then, made plain by her best year yet in 2015, with a huge tournament win and dozens of impressive placements, and a total of $600k in winnings. This performance didn't go unnoticed at the American Poker Awards, where the Player of the Year title went to the young lady, following in the footsteps of Vanessa Selbst from the year before.
